WHAT’S NEW FOR 2024 UNIFORM OPTION

New for 2024 is an OPTIONAL lighter weight convertible jacket. This is a very lightweight shell that has removable sleeves and can be worn in place of our heavier jacket or shirt. These can be worn tucked or untucked (they have a drawstring). Available on our page with Purchase Officials now.

Protocol for wearing:

  • If plate umpire is wearing sleeves, so shall the base umpire wear sleeves.
  • If plate umpire is in short sleeves, base umpire may wear with or without sleeves.
  • If plate umpire is wearing SS sleeve shirt in Black or Carolina, base umpire may wear the shell jacket with or without sleeves.
Although ideally the same style jacket by both umpires is worn, I also want every umpire to be as comfortable as possible on the field which is why the lighter jacket is now an option.
